A CHARITY Christmas choir received a donation from a Braintree-based housing developer.
A total of £250 was donated to the LaLas Community Choir in support of Dementia UK as they sang in Rayne.
Braintree housebuilder Mulberry Homes donated the funds to the singers as they performed at the Booking Hall Café.
Mulberry Homes at Braintree will be the site of a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes located off Rayne Road.
The funds were used in part as a cash prize in the charity raffle, with the remainder being entered into the fundraising pool.
Sarah Christian, a member of The LaLas Community Choir, said: "Thank you so much to Mulberry Homes for supporting The Lalas Community Choir at our festive busking event in aid of Dementia UK.
“We really appreciate them sponsoring our raffle cash prize and kicking off our fundraising total.
“Dementia UK support and develop specialist dementia admiral nurses, who provide life-changing support for families affected by all kinds of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.
“We hope to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity."
Kerry Jones, sales and marketing director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We were delighted to be able to support this wonderful community initiative, and it’s great to see local people coming together like this to support a good cause.”
