A MAN has been charged with a string of offences, include a series of burglaries.
Jay Maxwell, 25, of Saddleworth Square, Romford, was arrested and charged on Thursday.
He was charged and remanded in custody as part of an investigation into several residential burglaries.
The alleged offences took place in Braintree, Dunmow and Ongar, between June 28 and September 6 last year.
Maxwell is charged with three counts of burglary and theft, one count of attempted burglary with intent to steal, and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “A man has been charged and remanded into custody as part of an ongoing investigation into several residential burglaries.
“Jay Maxwell, 25 of Saddleworth Square, Romford has been charged with:
"• Three counts of burglary dwelling and theft
"• One count of attempted burglary dwelling with intent to steal
"• Two counts of theft of a motor vehicle
“The offences took place in Ongar, Braintree and Dunmow between June 28 and September 6 last year.
“Following several enquiries, including forensic evidence, Maxwell was arrested and charged on Thursday with six offences.”
