RESIDENTS in the Braintree district have just one week left to have their say on a five-year plan to consider the district’s housing priorities.
Braintree Council is developing its new Healthy Housing Strategy 2023-2028, a document designed to work with partners and residents to shape a response to housing needs in the district.
The strategy will work alongside the Local Plan to guide the delivery of more high quality, affordable and safe homes, making improvements to existing houses, as well as working to improve access to housing for renters and working proactively to tackle empty homes.
Braintree Council housing boss Kevin Bowers said: “We want to hear from as many residents and organisations as possible to understand their housing needs, challenges and opportunities to help shape our new strategy.
“We really value your views on our plans so please use this opportunity to have your say and make your voice heard.”
The consultation is open until 5pm on Tuesday, February 7, and people can submit their views online at braintree.gov.uk/housingstrategy.
People who are unable to complete the online form can email housingstrategy@braintree.gov.uk or visit the council offices at Causeway House in Braintree.
