WITHAM has been ranked as one of the most dentist-deprived areas in the UK.
It's no secret that the NHS's waiting list for dental appointments is growing longer, with some practices fully booked up for the next 26 months.
Dental Arch, a dental training provider from London, has used Google's keyword planner to determine where the most dentist-related searches are coming from in the UK.
Data was collected from Google Trends to establish which search terms had the highest search volume and decided which keywords would suggest a dentist shortage in any given area.
This data shows Knutsford as the city most in need of dentists.
Witham also ranked high on the list. It showed that per every 10,000 residents, 120 are searching for a dental practitioner, making them the two most dentist-deprived areas.
We asked some of our readers if they had any issues.
Mark Andrews said: "Can't get a booking at all! My last dental office took my whole family off the books because we didn't attend when the Covid pandemic was happening."
Jason Ross said: "It's almost impossible to get an appointment during midday."
Neil Smith said: "I live in Chelmsford, and my dentist is in Witham. I never had a problem."
Trevor McArdle said: "I live in Braintree. The dentist in Witham took me on, no problem."
