RESIDENTS are being invited to take part in three new community projects which are being launched this month.
The All In Community Teams for Braintree, Halstead and Witham, created by housing association Eastlight, are spending a year working with their communities to create one big idea that improves lives in their towns.
In Braintree, the team discovered there was a lack of community activities available to people to help them manage their mental health.
They have launched Kinder Minds and are offering free and low-cost mindfulness sessions, creative classes and coffee mornings in February and March.

The programme is open to anyone aged 18 or over, and residents can find out when the sessions take place by emailing braintree@weareallin.co.uk
Both the Witham and Halstead teams will be supporting young people as they navigate through adolescence.
Popcorn has been created for teenagers in Witham who have become increasingly isolated since the pandemic.
The team will work with young people to create safe meeting spaces where they can explore the big issues in their lives, from exams to entering the adult world.

Halstead’s Grow with the Flow has been created to tackle the issues many young women face when experiencing periods.
Through a series of workshops, they are creating a network of ‘Flow Sisters’ in Halstead’s secondary schools - young women equipped with the knowledge and skills to support their younger peers around their periods.
Eastlight’s James Green said: “Over the last eight months, our All In teams have been working hand-in-hand with hundreds of residents in our communities to create something that will make a real difference to people’s lives.
“It’s so exciting to see these innovative, community-led schemes enter the real world and I’d encourage anyone interested in finding out more to get involved.”
