Witham MP Priti Patel has paid a visit and made a personal donation to support Silver End Youth Club to provide children with necessary resources.
Having previously met Leila Hobart, one of the directors of the club in December, Ms Patel assured her that she would support the club in securing a range of practical resources and items that it needed.
Among donations by Farleigh Hospice and Ms Patel were a range of new items including Play Station games, supplies of stationery items, drinks and snacks, a 24-inch TV and a Chromebook.

Ms Patel said: "I was heartened by the great job Leila and her colleagues are doing in getting Silver End Youth Club.
"I’m pleased that I have been able to help them.
"The club provides an excellent focal point for young people to gather and enjoy themselves rather than being out on the streets."
Leila said: "We are very grateful for Ms Patel's continued support and enthusiasm.
"On her first visit, she stayed for a long time and genuinely seemed to enjoy hearing all about our efforts and to appreciate what we are trying to do.
"Seeing her back here so soon and with a wide variety of very useful donations is a particular pleasure."
