COMMUNITY projects have been encouraged to apply for a set of grants to support their work.
The All In Alliance groups, formed by Eastlight Community Homes, have been working alongside residents to make towns better places since their formation last year.
Now, they are encouraging community-based organisations to apply for community grants, which could see them receiving up to £1,500 to support their work.
The funding will enable a variety of groups to continue their hard work in communities, while providing new opportunities for residents to get involved in projects.
With a total of £12,000 available, the grants will be equally divided across Braintree, Witham, Halstead and Colchester.
Each will receive £3,000, with the funding being broken down to one award of £1,500 and two awards of £750.
Applications are open to community organisations who would use the grants to start new projects or with ongoing needs that would benefit from extra funding.
The application deadline is Monday, March 6.
Once the organisations have been shortlisted, residents will be able to vote for who they believe the funding should go to at the alliance meetings throughout March.
Eastlight community engagement officer Lauren Brimson said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for community projects to continue their incredible work in our towns and cities.
“The community grant applications are open to all projects making a difference in their communities and we encourage those who continue to give back to local people to apply.”
Applications can be made at bit.ly/3KzvM4H.
