POLICE officers are called out to all sorts of incidents but some special constables saw to a unique report today (April 21).
The officers were called to save three ducklings who were trapped down a drain in the High Garrett and Gosfield area.
Reports stated the ducklings were trapped down a drain with their mother nowhere to be seen.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Our special constables currently on duty attended and found these three ducklings, chirping away but failing to get free.
“We’re pleased to say they have now been rescued and are currently being cared for whilst further arrangements are being made to find them a place of safety.
“We’re yet to decide on names for them - suggestions welcome!”
