FIREFIGHTERS from six fire stations are on scene at an address in Witham.
Crews from Witham, Tiptree, Chelmsford, Braintree, Maldon, and South Woodham Ferrers fire stations were called to a terraced house in Yare Avenue, Witham, at 7.42pm today.
When firefighters arrived they reported the fire was affecting the whole house, including the roof space.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters are working hard to extinguish the fire and are monitoring the neighbouring properties to check for heat/fire spread.
"Firefighters are using an aerial ladder platform to pour water on the fire from above."
