A BRAINTREE bar is celebrating after clinching the highly coveted title of best bar in Essex.
The annual Essex Nightlife Awards ceremony celebrated the region's most exceptional establishments for their outstanding contributions to the county's social scene.
Number 92, a popular hotspot known for its stylish ambience and exceptional service on Braintree's High Street, outshined its competitors in a fiercely contested race.

Owner Matthew Dawes said he was "over the moon" to receive the award and expressed his gratitude to the community for their unstinting support.
He said: "We’re absolutely delighted to have won the best bar in Essex award and want to thank all of our customers who voted for us.
"What’s been lovely is reading all the congratulatory comments we’ve received.
"It’s been a crazy three years since we opened and this award recognises all the hard work that the staff have put in.
"Who would have thought that a small bar down the wrong end of Braintree High Street would end up winning an accolade like this? We are over the moon."
