A TEENAGE driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a crash left a passenger seriously injured.
A white Vauxhall Corsa and a bus were involved in a crash in Oak Road, Rivenhall, shortly before 9am on Thursday.
The driver of the car – a 19-year-old man from Tiptree - was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving.
A passenger, meanwhile, was taken to hospital for treatment for a serious injury.
The driver has since been released under investigation.
Essex Police is now appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward, after officers identified one driver they are particularly keen to hear from.
A force spokesman said: “We are appealing for information about a collision in Rivenhall.
“Officers want to speak to people in the vehicles directly behind the Corsa at the time of the incident.
“In particular we want to speak to the driver of a silver or grey van who we believe may have information important to our investigation.
