POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted burglary after reports of a hammer being thrown through a home window.
Officers were called to an address in Warren Road, Braintree on Monday, July 10.
It came following reports someone had thrown a hammer through the window of a home shortly before 2.20am.
Officers attended and carried out a search of the area but were unable to locate anyone.
Police say they later received a further call later in the morning stating the suspect had returned to the area and officers attended and searched the area.
A 45-year-old man was then arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and is currently in custody.
A spokesman said: “If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote the crime reference number 42/122406/23.”
