PUB bosses are toasting success as they prepare for a grand reopening after a major revamp.
The Nags Head in Market Place, Braintree is set to reopen next Friday, July 28, following an investment of £210,000.
The pub is part of Proper Pubs, the community operator division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 175 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
Behind the bar is community hero and passionate operator, Louise Crosbie, who has more than seven years of experience working in the hospitality industry.
Having lived in the surrounding area for 33 years, Louise has fantastic knowledge of the community and has been able to spend time establishing strong relationships with fellow residents.
The pub has undergone a huge makeover, being transformed with a complete interior redecoration, and will feature brand new fixtures, fittings and flooring throughout to give the pub a warmer, more welcoming feel.
Outside, the pub hosts recently updated lighting and signage to greet customers as well as a small courtyard area to enjoy during the summer months.
For opening night, the pub will be celebrating with a special live music performance from popular local band, The Locals, from 8pm.
The Nags Head will also provide a wide range of drinks offers, including Wine Wednesday, where customers can get £2 off a bottle, Fizz Friday, offering customers a bottle of fizz for £10, along with cocktails, bottle and shot deals throughout the week.
Louise said: “The pub looks fantastic, and I can’t believe the transformation.
“I’m really excited to get behind the bar, meet all our customers and support our local community.
“Pubs are the hub of their community, and we can’t wait to be the hub of Braintree.”
On top of the fantastic range of drinks offers, Louise said she is looking forward to hosting a regular schedule of entertainment including karaoke, quiz nights and live music to bring residents together.
She will also work hard to support several community initiatives including supporting the local foodbank through donations, as well as raising money to have a lifesaving defibrillator installed on-site.
