THERE was plenty of success to celebrate in Braintree as sixth formers achieved some great A Level results.
Braintree Sixth Form saw some top achievers across the board.
The highest achieving students included Rebecca R with three A*s in business studies, economics and media studies and a B in English, who holds an offer from Kings College, London to study business management.
Another high-flyer was Grace G who achieved two starred Distinctions in business studies and health and social care and two As in sociology and the extended project qualification and is going on to study paramedic science at Anglia Ruskin University.
Nicky W gained an A* in maths, two A grades in computer science and further mathematics and a B in physics, and will study economics at the London School of Economics.
Alisa K, who joined the school from Ukraine last summer, achieved an amazing A* in mathematics and two As in further mathematics and Spanish.
She is going on the study data science at the London School of Economics.
Students accepted a range of offers and are heading off to universities across the country, including Liverpool, Sussex, Reading, Loughborough and Kent.
The school also saw a number of students who have accepted degree apprenticeships with Jaguar Land Rover, Tamdown and the ambulance service.
Headteacher Margaret Ryan said: “I am enormously proud of the students and their excellent achievements, and thank all the staff for their hard work in supporting them on their journey with us, and parents and carers for their invaluable support as well.
"We look forward to hearing about the students’ next steps in their future careers.”
Head of sixth form Catherine Dunton added: “We are delighted for all of our students who have achieved amazing grades and are now able to go on to take up places at universities and apprenticeship providers.
“This was their first experience of sitting external exams as their GCSEs were cancelled due to the pandemic, so they should be really proud of themselves for what they have achieved over the last two years.
"We wish them every success as they take their next steps and look forward to welcoming them back as BSF alumni in the future.”
