A MAN has been arrested in connection with alleged shoplifting and assault offences in Braintree.
Essex Police's Braintree community policing team made the arrest while meeting members of the public in the town centre where they identified the suspect near Market Place.
As well as arresting the man, officers spoke to more than 100 members of the public on Saturday morning (October 21).
Acting Sgt Ed Spink said: “We’re always looking for suspects of crime in our district, so it’s a great result to arrest this man while sharing our crime prevention advice.”
