FLOODING has been severe across mid Essex over the last week, following a barrage of rain and stormy weather which has battered the region.
Essex battened down the hatches as Storm Henk hit the county hard.
High winds and heavy rain brought on power cuts, transport troubles, property damage and disruption on Tuesday.
Widespread power cuts also affected the county with many homes losing power overnight and into Wednesday afternoon.
Four flood alerts which were in place on Wednesday and Thursday for rivers across the county were extended into Friday, and two new flood alerts were also issued.
An amber warning for wind issued by the Met Office covered a central swathe of England, informing the public of possible travel disruption, roof damage and power cuts across Essex.
Due to the heavy rainfall, there were some high levels of flooding around the region.
Some of the locations include Paper Mill Lock, Witham Park, Terling Ford, and Bocking and Blackwater Nature Reserve.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said its control room received 110 calls relating to the storm in just seven hours.
