NEW food hygiene ratings have been given to six establishments in and around Braintree.
All of the businesses received either four or five out of five following new assessments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Among the list are bagel shops, pubs and fish and chip takeaways.
Here is what each got:
- Braintree Bagels, in Coggeshall Road, Braintree, secured a five-out-of-five rating on January 8.
- Partyman World of Play in3 Century Drive, Braintree, secured a five-out-of-five rating on January 5.
- The Saxon Arms, in Gershwin Boulevard, Witham, was also rated five-out-of-five on January 3.
- The Strawberry Tea Rooms at Olivers Farm Nurseries in Maldon Road, Witham, was rated five-out-of-five on January 3.
- China Village, in Fairfield Road, Braintree, was given a five-out-of-five on January 10.
- Smith and Jones Fish and Chips, in Rayne Road, Braintree, was given a four-out-of-five after being assessed on December 6.
Food hygiene ratings are completed by the Food Standards Agency, a government body responsible for food safety and hygiene in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
