A SCOUT group held a glamorous Oscars-themed awards night to celebrate the hard work of its members.
The 1st Silver End Scouts, based in Silver Street, celebrated their annual Oscars award ceremony, on January 26, looking back at their achievements over the last year.
The awards evening has ten different categories, including most improved Scout, best camp, best educational activity, best new Scout, and more.
The Scouts voted for the winners.
Trophies and medals were also handed out to the Scout of the year and the patrol of the year.
These awards are decided by the most points earned via regular attendance, badges and volunteer work in the community.
Emily Dixon was named Scout of the year 2023.
The patrol of the year award went to the Falcons, group made up of Ayla Whitehead, Daisy Hagland, Dana-mae Cridland, Emily Beeken, Erin Nash, Isabelle Mitchell, Nancy Mansfield and Rosie Barlow.
Following the ceremony, all the Scouts celebrated with a well-deserved disco to end the night.
The group is open to girls and boys aged ten and half to 14 years old.
