Adults and children will be able to take part in a day of free gym access and a range of fun taster activities this Saturday – all in the aid of charity.
Residents will be able to take part in Fusion Lifestyle’s ‘Get Sportaneous’ event this Saturday at Braintree Swimming and Fitness, in Charter Way, Halstead Leisure Centre, in Colne Road, and Witham Leisure Centre, in Spinks Lane.
It will give residents the chance to explore the facilities, take part in taster sessions, and pick from many different activities.
Across the three centres, you will be able to delve into Aqua Splash aerobics, yoga, spin, tai chi, Pilates, table tennis, kick boxing and more.
There will also be lifeguard classes and introductions from the International Stunt Academy, Halstead Town FC, and a visit from Essex Therapy Dogs.
Both the Braintree and Halstead centres will raise money for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance whilst the Witham site fundraises for Little Wings of Hope.
Fusion Lifestyle was set up in 2000 and is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging sporting and physical activity, working alongside local authorities.
Boss Anthony Cawley said “Getting active is important for everyone.
“Our Get Sportaneous open day is a great opportunity for our teams to meet and greet the local community, offer their support and expertise, and showcase the activities on offer.
“We hope the event might inspire people to move more and, most of all, to enjoy the day with their friends and family.”
All swim sessions and classes must be booked.
