A company has donated almost £20,000 to two Witham charities, including one which supports children with cancer.
Life insurance business Aegon, in Mayland Road, Witham, has donated a total of £19,836 to Farleigh Hospice and Children with Cancer UK.
Farleigh Hospice, which provides free care and support to people affected by life-limiting illnesses, received £7,209.
Children With Cancer UK received £12,627.
Both charities received the donations at a cheque handover this month.
Community fundraising manager at Children with Cancer UK Millie Coulter was thankful for the generous contribution.
She said: “We are so grateful for the amazing total raised by the wonderful staff at Aegon.
“This will help us to continue funding life-saving research for childhood cancers and ensure that we support children and young people throughout their cancer journey and beyond.
“A huge thank you to all the Aegon colleagues for their wonderful fundraising activities.”
Farleigh Hospice's Selina Mayhew added: “Thank you to all the staff who have taken part in such a wide variety of fundraising activities during this time."
