A “SENSITIVE” dog is looking for a home of her own after arriving at a village animal shelter.
Four-year-old Neapolitan mastiff Katie is waiting at the Danaher Animal Home in Wethersfield.
A spokesman said: “We would like to introduce our sensitive Katie, who is looking for a home of her own, after having several litters of puppies prior to coming to us.
“We have taken our time with Katie to assess exactly what she needs in her new home.
“We have found she likes to get to know people gradually and will be very reticent when you first meet her.
“Once she knows you are her human though, she will be won over, and want endless affection and fuss.
“She is very strong on the lead, and excitable if she sees other dogs on her walks, so you would need to be strong enough to hold her whilst she learns better lead behaviour.
“She would benefit from someone who has rescued before, understands the journey she has been on so far, and the patience needed to show her what a happy home can be like.
“We feel she would have the best chance in an adult-only home as the only pet.”
Katie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, de-flead and wormed.
