A MAN was left unconscious and with a broken nose after being assaulted at a pub in Braintree.
Police were called to The Pub in East Street in Braintree on Sunday, March 3, at about 10.40pm following reports of an assault.
The victim was said to have been approached by a man before he was punched in the face.
The punch left him unconscious and with a broken nose, sparking a police appeal looking to identify the man who approached him.
The image of the man wanted by police has been released to the public.
Anyone who believes they know the name of the man is being asked to get in contact with the police.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are appealing for the public's help to identify this man, in connection with an ongoing assault investigation.
“Enquiries are ongoing and investigating officers are now releasing an image of a man they would like to speak with, in connection with this investigation.
