A MAN found seriously injured after reports he had been hit by a car has sparked a police appeal for witnesses.
Officers are appealing for anyone with any information or footage to come forward after a man was seriously injured in Witham at around 5.30am yesterday, April 6.
Police were called by ambulance service colleagues to reports a man had been hit by a car in Christina Road.
The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries which are serious, but are not believed to be life-threatening.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Investigating officers from Braintree CID believe a white Ford Fiesta may have been involved in the incident and are asking witnesses or anyone who has dashcam or any other footage to contact us.
"Please quote the crime reference number 42/55012/24."
