A MAN who breached his suspended sentence when he carried an axe in public will not serve a prison term.
Benjamin Dyer, of Cressing Road, Witham, had been serving a suspended sentence when he was found with the weapon in 2021.
Dyer, 23, admitted one charge of being in possession of an article with a blade or point and appeared in Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday, but did not receive a prison term.
Instead, Dyer was ordered to carry out ten rehab days, and 75 hours of unpaid work.
Dyer was also ordered to pay £1,000 and carry out 120 alcohol abstinence days.
