A MISSION to honour those who lived through the Second World War is underway in Witham.

The Witham Hub, based at the Grove Shopping Centre is appealing to family members who have stories, experiences or photos from the war which they would like to share.

Whether it is a personal account, a family anecdote or a photograph, they will help paint a personal picture of some of the heroes who gave their life for this country.

Hub chairman Tina Townsend said: “Please do join us at the hub in commemorating the bravery, sacrifices and resilience of the many brave men and women who lived through World War II.

“By sharing your stories and visuals, let's ensure that these important narratives are not forgotten and can continue to inspire generations to come.”

The hub aims to bring the community closer by celebrating those from the Witham area.

The hub says it is important to remember those who gave so much for others - especially so close to the 80th anniversary of D-Day..

If you have any memories that can be used, please email the hub at info@withamhub.co.uk or pop into the hub with your memorabilia.
