A LANE has been closed on a busy Essex road leading to lengthy delays for motorists.
Traffic control has confirmed that a broken-down tractor has caused for a lane on the A12 Southbound to be closed.
The lane closure is just before Junction 21 to Hatfield Road Witham South.
The incident was first reported at 2.38pm, June 13, but motorists are still experiencing lengthy delays and congestion in the area.
There is queuing traffic back to Junction 24 which leads to Kelvedon.
Roads through Witham and Kelvedon are busier than usual due to this incident.
