Braintree Village, in Charter Way, is celebrating Pride Month by hosting the Tree of Pride, where and shoppers are invited to add their pledges to it.

The Tree of Pride will be at Braintree Village on June 22 and June 23, and the public can participate from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.

Messages in support of the LGBTQ+ community and ones against homophobia and transphobia are encouraged.

Anyone can add a pledge of helping work towards a more inclusive and caring future or add a dedication to a loved one.

Josef O’Sullivan, Centre Director at Braintree Village, said: “We celebrate our wonderfully diverse community all day, every day.

“Pride Month is an opportunity to put a spotlight on progress made so far, and the work still to be done.

“We look forward to reading our guests’ messages celebrating inclusivity.”
