A ROAD has closed following a serious crash which happened in Silver End near Braintree this morning.
Police are currently still at the scene where the incident happened on Boar Tye Road in Silver End.
Officers were called to the scene shortly after 6:30am this morning, following reports of a single vehicle crash.
Emergency services remain at the scene and the road is expected to stay closed until around midday.
Essex Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit have launched an investigation and appealing for the public’s help.
They are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a grey Peugeot 208 in the area at around 6am this morning and may have any CCTV or dashcam to contact them
