A POPULAR shopping village is preparing to open the doors to its newest on-site store.

Petersfield Village, in Gosfield, will be welcoming visitors to The Farm Shop, which opens today, Saturday, July 6.

The shop will offer a selection of fresh, locally sourced items such as fruits, vegetables, and dairy products sourced directly from farms across Essex and Suffolk.

As well as that, the shop will also stock a variety of exotic fruits, spices, and gourmet items from around the world, curated for the adventurous palate.

A shop spokesman said: “At The Farm Shop Petersfield, we take immense pride in our meticulous sourcing process.

“Our commitment to quality is unwavering. Every product that reaches our shelves undergoes rigorous quality checks to ensure it meets our standards.

“We believe that fresh, high-quality produce is the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle, and we are dedicated to providing you with the best that nature has to offer.

“Whether it’s a crisp apple from a local orchard or a rare spice from a distant land, you can trust that our products are of the highest quality.”

To celebrate the opening on July 6, all customers who purchase something from the farm shop on the opening weekend will be entered into a raffle to win a hamper valued at £100.

Originally a working farm, the Petersfield site was transformed into an antique shopping village by owner Michael Butler in 2005, but the site suffered greatly in the pandemic.

Halstead businessmen John Potter and Charles Dawson, alongside the Butler family, took on the day-to-day running of the village in 2022.
