THE organisers of an event which celebrates all canines big and small has said its latest show was a “memorable success”.
Witham Town Council held its Dog Show on June 29, taking place along the town’s River Walk from 10am to 3pm.
The day featured a variety of activities for dogs and their owners, as they could peruse shop stalls which provided pet accessories to essential care, there was food and drink for the owners, and more.
There was even a fly ball and dog agility circuit set up where their dogs could take part, and of course the main event, the contests where dogs that were entered could win a rosette and prize from the judge.
Categories for this year’s dog show included the precious puppy, best trick, best rescue, fastest recall, the dog the judge would most like to take home, and waggiest tail.
There was also the best paw shaker, best junior handler, the dog that looks most like their owner, and cutest eyes categories.
Each category showcased the unique talents and charming personalities of the participating dogs.
A spokesman for Witham Council said: “Witham Council extends its thanks to all the participants, volunteers, and local businesses that contributed to making this event a memorable success.
“As well as a special thanks to its sponsor, Holmes & Hills Solicitors.”
