The BBC Gardeners' World Autumn Fair is returning to Audley End House and Gardens in Saffron Walden next month.

Running from August 30 to September 1, the event welcomes gardening enthusiasts as well as those hunting a day out in a serene setting.

This year’s special guests at the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Stage include Adam Frost, Joe Swift and, new addition Rachel de Thame, who will talk about seasonal gardening.

In addition, fair attendees will have the chance to interact with horticulturalist and presenter, David Hurrion.

Rachel Poletti-Gadd is the portfolio director at the gardening division at Immediate Live, organisers of the BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair.

She said: "Autumn at Audley End House and Gardens is a wonderful time of year, and we can’t wait to be back.

"This year’s exciting new highlights and visitors’ favourite features are going to make it a really special event.

"From hardy growers to have-a-go first-timers, it’s impossible not to find inspiration for your home garden or growing space, and we’re pretty sure you’ll find a new plant or two to take home too."

A new feature for this year is the Get Growing Stage where TV chef Marcus Bean, and others, will share tips about making the most of the autumn months.

The Fair will also offer hands-on workshops including bug hotel making, led by Adam Kirtland.

Additionally, the Caley Brothers' oyster mushroom workshops will make a return, having gained popularity in previous years.

Garden design inspiration will be on hand, with the Showcase Gardens, Beautiful Borders, and speciality nurseries and growers providing new ideas.

Audley End's head gardener, Louise Ellis, said: "We get to share our beautiful grounds and gardens with thousands of keen garden fans and visitors, our trainees will be showcasing their wonderful Shared Ecologies Border, and we’ll be on hand to answer any questions.

"It’s going to be a great weekend."

Additionally, more than 30 specialist plants nurseries and high-quality retailers will be on site selling their wares.

Food and drinks, courtesy of the Good Food Market, will also be available.

Ticket prices start from £16.50 for adults.
