FIREFIGHTERS are currently on the scene of a field fire in Braintree.
Four crews from Colchester, Halstead, Tollesbury and Dunmow were called to the scene in Convent Lane at 5.04pm today.
Approximately 200 metres by 150 metres (two hectares) of a field of cut grass is alight.
The fire service has advised residents living in the area to keep doors and windows closed.
