A RECORD amount has been raised at a fundraising event for a life-saving charity.
This year's Stebbing's Vintage and Classic Annual Tractor Run saw more than £14,000 raised for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
The event, which returned for the 11th year running in May, also set the record for the most participants, with 95 tractors taking part.
The event as always began and ended at Brazenhead Farm in Little Bardfield.
The route varies each time and this year, as well as Stebbing, tractors taking part visited Bardfield Saling, Great Saling, Rayne, Panfield, Shalford, Great & Little Bardfield, over a distance of 30 miles.
One of the lead organisers of the event, Richard Hughes, said: "This year through sponsorship, donations, and rattling collection boxes and buckets in the villages through which we travel, we have achieved what is a record for us of £14,067.93, bringing our grand total to over £74,000 since 2017."
Following the event, organisers headed to the Earls Colne Airfield for the "big cheque photo event".
Fundraising coordinator for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Clair Mitchell invited the group to the airfield to view the brand new helicopter.
"Clair who has been so supportive over many years now," Mr Hughes said.
