A FULL list of every film coming to Braintree Village’s new outdoor cinema has been revealed.

The shopping village will be hosting its “film festival” from August 20 to 29.

From musical singalongs to family fun and action classics, there is something for everyone to enjoy on the big screen.

Screening times will be 12pm, 3.30pm and 7pm each day, with the gates opening 45 minutes in advance.

Here is everything that is showing:

  • Tuesday, August 20 – Encanto (12pm), Wonka (3.30pm), The Greatest Showman (7pm)
  • Wednesday, August 21 – The Super Mario Bros. Movie (12pm), Barbie (3.30pm), Pretty Woman (7pm)
  • Thursday, August 22 – Sing (12pm), Jurassic Park (3.30pm), Elvis (7pm)
  • Friday, August 23 – Moana (12pm), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (3.30pm), Top Gun (7.30pm)
  • Saturday, August 24 – Lion King (12pm), The Greatest Showman (with subtitles) (3.30pm), Grease (7pm)
  • Sunday, August 25 – Frozen (12pm), Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (3.30pm), Top Gun Maverick (7pm)
  • Monday, August 26 – Encanto (with subtitles) (12pm), Mamma Mia! (3.30pm), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (7pm)
  • Tuesday, August 27 – Shrek (12pm), Dirty Dancing (3.30pm), The Greatest Showman Singalong
  • Wednesday, August 28 – Finding Nemo (12pm), Elvis (3.30pm), Bohemian Rhapsody (7pm)
  • Thursday, August 29 – Toy Story (12pm), Grease (3.30pm), Dirty Dancing (7pm).

Food and drink will also be on offer, with guests invited to bring their own deckchairs and blankets.

A limited number of pillows and blankets will be available to hire and can be pre-booked in advance.

Located adjacent to the North Car Park where the festive ice rink was held for Christmas, the open-air cinema has the capacity for 300 guests.

Tickets are priced from just £8 for under 12s and are £12 per adult.

There are also VIP tickets available for £20, which include a deckchair in prime position and a treat box.

Each day, the off-peak 12pm movie will be discounted to £5 per person or £18 for a family ticket, which includes two adults and two children.
