A VILLAGE post office site has been temporarily closed for a refurbishment.
Pershore Post Office will temporarily close for two weeks for a refurbishment at the East of England Co-op in The Street, Hatfield Peverel.
The branch temporarily closed on Wednesday, August 21.
It is estimated that the extensive building work will take just over two weeks, and the branch is due to reopen on Monday, September 9, at 9am.
An alternative branch is the Maltings Lane Post Office at 113 Hatfield Road, Witham.
Another is the Witham Post Office at 76 Newland Street.
Damien Haydock, Post Office Partner Account Manager, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.
“The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it is necessary for the service to close temporarily.”
