ESSEX Police have released a new image of the Braintree man who has been missing for four days.

27-year-old Martyn Richardson was last seen in the Bocking area of Braintree at around 8.30pm on Saturday, August 24.

He was wearing black fleece shorts, a grey hoodie jacket with a long-sleeved top underneath which has a white stripe down the arms, and black shoes. 

He could potentially be with or riding a blue bicycle.

Investigating officers are focusing their enquiries in the Bocking area.

Braintree Community Policing Team Inspector Philip Jackson said: “Martyn has strong links to the area which is why the local community will have seen a visible police presence in the area as our officers continue to search for him.

“Specialist officers are assisting the Community Policing Team to search, and our officers have been amongst the community, carrying out house to house enquiries.

“We are supporting and working closely with Martyn’s family who, understandably, are worried about him.”

The Inspector continued: “Today, we are releasing a new image of Martyn captured on the day he went missing.

“We know the image is not the clearest picture, but it shows us what Martyn was last seen wearing and we hope it might jog someone’s memory.

“We are asking the public to take a moment to look at Martyn’s photograph and contact us with any information you may have, no matter how small it seems.

“Also, we want to let Martyn know that he is not in any trouble at all and we just want to make sure he is ok, as do his family and friends.”
