SEVEN new homes will be built in Witham as part of a new development.
The East of England Co-op has announced it will begin work on a new housing development in Kings Chase.
The development will consist of four three-bedroom houses with gardens, two two-bedroom flats and one one-bedroom flat, with all the properties having access to a private parking space each.
Kings Chase shares a junction with Newland Street in Witham town centre and is close to lots of amenities.
Stuart McDonald, chief property officer for the East of England Co-op, said: “As a community retailer, local people are at the heart of everything we do, and I’m pleased that our co-op is providing new homes for the Witham community.
“This is an exciting project, and it is a privilege to be able to regenerate an unused area of a busy town.”
Elliston Steady and Hawes is the construction firm completing the building work on the properties.
A spokesman for the firm said: “We will work closely with businesses, subcontractors, and suppliers to help deliver these local homes.”
Demolition and clean-up of the area will begin in the coming weeks, with the project set for completion in January 2026.
