Essex Police is looking to identify “four possible witnesses” after a Braintree man has been missing for nearly two weeks.

27-year-old Martyn Richardson was last seen in the Bocking area of Braintree at around 8.30pm on Saturday, August 24.

At the time, he was wearing black fleece shorts, a grey hoodie jacket with a long-sleeved top underneath which had a white stripe down the arms, and black shoes.

Essex Police has continued its investigation and now believes a group of three people walking dogs were in the area around the time Martyn was last seen.

The three people were in The Chase, walking from Dorewards Avenue towards Dorewards Farm, at around 8.45pm on August 24.

The force has identified another person wearing dark clothing, walking alone, at around the same time.

This person was also in The Chase, walking from Dorewards Farm before turning into the footpath towards Broad Road.

An appeal has now been launched to find these four people in effort to support ongoing enquiries.

“As we said at the weekend, we are growing increasingly concerned for Martyn with each day since he was last seen.
