A CARE home in Braintree is celebrating a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors visited Braintree Mews Care Home in Essex from July 24 to August 14, 2024.
The 75-bed luxury care home, operated by Avery Healthcare and owned by Artisan Care, has achieved a ‘Good’ rating across all five CQC assessment criteria overall: safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led.
In the report, the care home was praised for its person-centred care, addressing individual preferences to meet residents’ specific needs and promoting dignity and independence.
Residents shared they feel “respected” and treated “like family” by staff, while relatives shared their family members are “so happy and engaged in activities with others”.
The report highlighted the wide variety of engaging activities offered, which promote mental engagement and build social connections.
