Emergency services attended a crash between Braintree and Witham which caused delays for motorists.
An ambulance crew and officers from Essex Police attended an incident on the B1018 this afternoon at around 3pm.
Essex Police confirmed there were no reports of injuries and the force helped with the recovery of vehicles only.
A spokesman of the East of England Ambulance NHS Service confirmed that one ambulance was sent to the scene.
Traffic had slowed down in the area but has returned to normal since.
