Pupils at Feering Primary have been awarded for their global citizenship efforts.
The school, Feering Church of England Primary, has earned the Bronze Award from Christian Aid’s Global Neighbours Scheme.
Their initiatives include tree planting, foodbank donations, and the promotion of Fairtrade shopping.
The scheme recognises schools that help students learn about global poverty and the Christian duty to combat it.
Headteacher Bridgette Gough said: "We are thrilled to be recognised for the work the pupils and everyone in the staff team have done as a community to raise awareness of the inequalities across our globe and perhaps more importantly, the steps we can take to address these."
She added that the pupils regularly learn about global issues and have shown their "Brave Voices" against these injustices.
The school now plans to aim for the silver award within the academic year.
Alison Brown, Global Neighbours Schools programme officer at Christian Aid, said: "It’s wonderful to see how staff and pupils at Feering CE Primary have taken this to heart and are seeking to tackle injustice."
The Global Neighbours scheme, launched in partnership with the Church of England’s Education Office, has three levels of accreditation: bronze, silver, and gold, verified by independent assessors.
