A PROPERTY with unfinished flats in Braintree High Street will soon go up for auction.

The former office building has two part-converted flats on the upper floors and sits at the heart of Braintree town centre.

Vacant 55 High Street is among 170 lots in the latest auction being held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

It is listed with a freehold guide price of £300,000 to £325,000 at the firm’s auction, which ends on Friday November 1.

“The ground floor still remains as office space with stairs at the side of the building going up to a communal landing with one flat to the rear and a split-level flat to the front.

“It would make an excellent, quick-start project for a builder and then the office space and two flats could be let to provide a good income or solder to owner-occupiers.”

Land which has planning consent in place for a travellers’ site in Thaxted, near Dunmow, is also listed at the auction.

Freehold-guided at £150,000 or more, the land is on the north side of Bardfield Road.

“Planning permission was granted on appeal for change of use of the land to use as a residential caravan site for one gypsy family with two caravans, a utility building and hardstanding.”
