ADORABLE puppies were snatched from a home during a shocking broad daylight break-in.
The three nine-week-old puppies who “had loving homes waiting for them” were stolen from a home in the Witham area last Saturday morning, at about 11.30am.
The Shitsu-Pomeranian pups were reportedly taken in the thirty minutes the homeowner had “popped out” to the shops.
The crooks are also thought to have got away with some money and an iPad, leaving the woman feeling “very vulnerable.”
The single mother of three, aged 41, said: “I want to focus on the puppies and on getting them home.
“It’s such an invasive feeling that someone has been in—I don’t feel very at ease being at home.
“I never posted that I have puppies, so the police think they broke in and just took them when they saw them.”
Neighbours reported a “male in a hoodie carrying a holdall” leaving the address, but unfortunately, as they broke in through the back garden, there was no ring doorbell or CCTV footage.
The woman added: “I don’t want the puppies to just be dumped somewhere and not be discovered.
“I want them home more than anything.”
The woman and her friend spent Monday calling all the vets to find the puppies.
Luckily, one puppy was found on Monday evening in Colchester, and the man who found him called a vet.
The puppy was “sat in his own mess” and likely had been kept in a box.
Mandy O’Halloran, 58, has been supporting her friend in trying to find the puppies.
She said: “The poor puppy was whimpering under the table.
“None of the puppies have been microchipped or vaccinated, because they’re so young and were still with the mum, so that’s why we called the vets to keep an eye out.
“No pups had been advertised on any social media platform because they all had lovely homes to go to.
“Our main concern is getting these puppies back home.”
Both women urged anyone who may know or find anything to contact the local vets or RSPCA centres.
