BRAINTREE’s MP has visited a town SEND charity at its new premises in Great Notley.
Happy Hill Essex CIO opened its new space at the former PARC building in July.
It welcomed celebrity patron Linda Robson in September to "officially open" the hub.
Now, MP James Cleverly has paid a visit to Happy Hill and its founder and chief executive, Heather Hill, where he enjoyed a tour of the building and heard about the work the charity does.
Mr Cleverly said: “Councillor Kevin Bowers and I visited Heather and the team at Happy Hill now that they have moved into the old PARC premises.
“The play and recreational facilities at the premises include a sensory room, special play equipment and a games space.
“Since opening, Heather and the team have seen over 400 children and young people with SEND try new experiences, play, learn and socialise.
“With more plans for the future and a support structure for families, I wish Heather and her team the very best of luck.”
The Happy Hill hub has a life skills room, sensory room, soft play room and more, and will soon host hair dressers, dentists, nurses and social workers to attend SEND children.
