A festive Christmas market will be coming to Braintree and Bocking Public Garden next weekend.
The market will have many unique and jolly stalls, along with a festive atmosphere with a brass band, carol singers and fairground rides, and Santa’s Grotto.
There will also be a grand Christmas Raffle and prize draw, with tickets for £1 to enter and prizes of £250, £150, and £50 for the first three places.
A spokesman for the gardens said: “We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a festive Christmas Market in the Gardens.
“We will have handmade crafts, speciality gifts, gourmet food, a fully stocked bar, mulled wine, a Santa’s Grotto, fairground rides, carol singers, a brass band and more.
“We also have an exciting light trail that will lead through the beautiful lower half of the gardens.”
They continued: “This year’s Christmas event is to trial the interest and for it to hopefully grow bigger each year.
“Local companies have come together to help make this as Christmassy as possible, with CJ Yates Construction Ltd offering to build and supply a Santa’s Sleigh with accompanying reindeers, which was painted by local artist Mark Whittaker.
“Chinnery Carpets, Dulux Decorator Centre B&Q Braintree have also donated carpet, paint and some decorations.
“There are still some spaces for stalls and we welcome any support from local businesses who would like to be involved.
“We can’t wait to see you there!”
The Christmas Market is a free event and will run from 3pm to 9pm on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 of November.
The gardens have been situated in Bocking End since 1888.
