A CHRISTMAS Carol concert for Essex’s Big Sing choir is taking place next week in Colchester.

The BIG Sing is an inclusive community choir for all ages and welcomes people with disabilities, with choirs in Essex, London, Kent, and The Midland covering.

In Essex the choir covers the areas of Basildon, Braintree, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Southend, and Thurrock, and is known for wowing Britain’s Got Talent judges in 2023.

The Big Sing also took 88 singers from Essex, Kent, and London to the Indigo O2 Arena to take part in the National Entertainments Awards where they won the Community Impact Award.

Mick, who was one of the 88 to attend the night, added: “It was a great night, we won a big award, and we were the only group or choir to win during the awards.

The Big Sing will be performing at the Halstead Christmas Fayre at 2pm on Saturday November 26.

This will be followed by a concert December at Kingland Church, London Road in Colchester December 1 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
