A WOMAN has sustained a “potentially serious” leg injury after a hit and run in Witham.
Officers were called to Braintree Road after reports of a collision shortly before 3.45pm today, November 27.
The incident involved a vehicle and a female pedestrian, with the woman sustaining a “potentially serious” leg injury.
Police have confirmed enquiries are ongoing and that the vehicle involved left the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called to reports of a collision in Braintree Road, Witham shortly before 3.45pm on Wednesday 27 November.
“It involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian – a woman – sustained a potentially serious leg injury but the vehicle involved left the scene.
“Our enquiries to locate the driver are ongoing.
