The service on Sunday was led Clive Pickett, representing the Christian charity Hand-in-Hand, based in Chelmsford.
Hand-in-Hand supports projects in South America and in Africa.
In his talk, Clive showed how farmers in Africa were being enabled to become self-sufficient by banding together to produce goods which could be exported.
During the week the ministry team met, as did the prayer group, choir, open home/open Bible study and the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades.
On Sunday, Chris Noble, of Barnston Mission, will be the preacher at 10.45am with evening fellowship at 6.30pm.
