Rent review on Damaries Mead: It was agreed the rent increase be paid.
Coach park: The chairman of Thaxted Society said the coach park was being used by cars and coaches could not park there. The parish council had notified Uttlesford Council, which is responsible for parking enforcement.
Tree survey: Philip Leeder offered to assist by counting trees on the land owned by the parish council.
Community initiatives fund: The clerk had prepared a bid for the following items: roundabout at the bottom of Bardfield Road; traffic-calming in Newbiggen Street; and speed sensor lights in Dunmow Road.
Dog waste bins: Dog waste was being left in Watling Lane. The cost of a bin would be £100. It was agreed to add this item to the 2008-09 wishlist.
Quarterly figures: The RFO reported that quarterly figure showed an expenditure of £15,831 and income of £35,786.
Review of rents: The RFO had prepared a report on rent levels for October 2009-September 2010.
It was suggested the Pavilion caretaker charged Thaxted Rangers Football Club as and when they used the Pavilion.
It was agreed a sub-committee be set up to examine Pavilion usage consisting of John Freeman, Philip Leeder, Mike Collins, the RFO and Maureen Walbanke, caretaker. The clerk is to draw up letting agreements for Thaxted Cricket Club and allotment holders.
Any other business: David Barnard reported fly-tipping in Margaret Garden, which had been cleared away.
Eileen Walsh said cars were parked too close to the houses in Newbiggen Street and the disabled were unable to pass.
There were no objections to a sign being installed at the corner of Park Street saying “To the Baptist Church”.
