Brian Curtois, a former reporter with the BBC, was the speaker this month.
He regaled members with memories of his 30-year life with the BBC in radio and TV.
President Moyra Smith reported that the trips to Highgrove and to Denman College were enjoyed by all who went on along.
Treasurer Carolyn Harris said the subscription next year would be £29. Birthday posies were given to Carol Vinton, Kathleen Raven, Mary Walker and Janet Brannon.
The pot pourri container was won by Mary Mouser, with Rose Holland second and third place going to Beryl Whiteside, who also won first prize in the raffle.
